This project was a full gut remodel of a classic 1920s Madison Park “four square” home. While much of the old charm remained when our clients purchased the home, the kitchen and back portion had been chopped up into a warren of rooms with bad 1970s layers on top. We worked closely on this project with the architect, restoring details and features to maintain the bones of the old house.
We also worked to create a “cleaned up”, crisp version of the original home so that the rooms could accept a more modern layer of fixtures and furnishings. Our clients were keen to acquire classic Mid-century furniture pieces along with bespoke hand loomed Tibetan rugs and custom made furnishings. Antiques from travels to the far east and Europe were also incorporated into the design schemes.
