This house is situated on a south facing, Lake Washington “low bank” piece of property. We were brought on board in the planning stages and worked top to bottom throughout the project with the clients and the Seattle architects Replinger Hossner Osolin. The clients were particularly inspired by Tuscan villas.
We incorporated many age old details from this vernacular including wide plank oiled walnut floors, limestone fireplace and accents, stucco walls and arched openings. Modern touches can be found in the exposed steel beams and streamlined details. Furnishings both old and new were added as additional layers and textures. The clients’ existing extensive artwork collection is a highlight to the interiors..
