About Jordyn Yeldell
Growing up in Mukilteo, WA, Jordyn's sense of home is deeply influenced by nostalgia and a love for the old. Drawn to historic narratives and settings from a young age, she has a particular affinity for old homes and towns, seeing them as timeless backdrops for life's evolving memories. This appreciation for historical charm and the desire to preserve it informs her design philosophy, making her work not just about creating spaces, but about safeguarding history and character in a world that's always moving forward.
With a Bachelor's in Interior Design and a minor in Entrepreneurship from Seattle Pacific University, her academic journey was both thoughtful and deliberate. Taking advantage of the Running Start program in high school, she earned her associate degree early, followed by a two-year exploration period to pinpoint her true passion. During a serendipitous meeting with an interior designer over coffee, Jordyn's eyes were opened to the rich and varied world of interior design (beyond just HGTV). This encounter not only led to a job offer but also set the course for her future career.
Upon returning to Washington for college, Jordyn immersed herself in the field, working and interning for several interior designers in Seattle. After discovering Lisa's work on Instagram, she felt a connection with Lisa's style. Reaching out to Lisa with her portfolio, Jordyn found not just a job but a perfect synergy of tastes and work ethic at LSID shortly after graduating.
Jordyn thrives on the challenge and diversity of interior design, relishing in the unique puzzle each project presents. The joy of seeing a house 'live' well years after a project's completion is a testament to her dedication and skill. With an eye that sees inspiration in the every day, her iPhone houses over 60,000 photos of moments that spark her creativity, from antique shops to travel adventures.
Interior design is not just Jordyn's profession; it's her passion and lifestyle. Her downtime is seamlessly intertwined with her work, whether it's antiquing with family, exploring old buildings, enjoying design-focused media, or embarking on house projects with her husband. Each of these activities fuels her inspiration and creativity, evidencing a life where work and pleasure beautifully coalesce.
