layering simple modern and vintage accents

Bellingham Four Square

Built in 1906 this home was originally the residence of a prominent attorney. While maintaining the architecture of a classic “four square” residence the home also showcases the stately detailing of a more formal public building of the era. Our client came to us wanting to honor the architecture but give the house a casual, fresh and open feeling. All electrical was re-wired and reworked and plaster repaired with a fresh coat of white paint throughout. Fittings and furnishings were then chosen to stay fresh and airy, with close attention paid to layering vintage finds, natural textiles, and simple modern silhouettes.
