Laurel Tudor

Nestled in the Laurelhurst neighborhood of Seattle, our client came to us with the directive to give this classic 1930s cottage a fresh and modern feel while still maintaining it’s old world charm. All interiors were painted with a fresh coat of white paint and paired with black painted windows. The floors were refinished to a lighter natural oak.

Architectural changes include a kitchen remodel with classic shaker style cabinets reconfigured to allow for a big island, open shelving and a newly designed hood. New countertops are a classic charcoal gray soapstone and backsplash. The soapstone is then repeated in the new living room fireplace surround. Furnishings are a mix of vintage finds and more classic European styles and silhouettes, paired with modern light fixtures throughout.
